Flippa Ball – Terms 1 & 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

The game:<\/strong>
\nFlippa Ball is a modified version of Water Polo aimed exclusively at Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. Two teams, each of which must have a minimum of seven players play Flippa Ball. Each team must have 5 field players and 1 goalie in the pool at one time. The pool is shallow in depth for the Year 3 and 4 players but varying in depth for Year 5 and 6 players. Players are permitted to walk along the bottom if they do not have the ball. If in possession of the ball the player must swim or pass. Players must catch and pass with only one hand. The game consists of two halves of 10 minutes duration. School teams play once a week at Memorial pool over the summer terms.<\/p>\n

\nMemorial Pool \u2013 Tauranga<\/p>\n

League dates:<\/strong>
\nTuesday 23rd October \u2013 Tuesday 4th December<\/p>\n

Game times:<\/strong>
\nYears 3 & 4 \u2013 Learners\u2019 pool games are played sometime between 3.30pm \u2013 7.30pm<\/p>\n

Years 5 & 6 \u2013 Big pool games are played sometime between 4.00pm \u2013 8.30pm<\/p>\n

(2 x 10 min halves per game). The draw is e-mailed to the managers to distribute to their team before the game, alternatively you can check the draw directly, under tab above.<\/p>\n

Cost:<\/strong>
\n$55 \u2013 \u00a0This can be paid by following the online payments section on the school website or at school via cash, Eftpos or cheque. Alternatively through online banking:

** Please note that your child will not be entered into a team unless this form has been filled out and payment has been made by Wednesday 3rd October<\/strong>\u00a0**<\/p>\n

Practise will take place at school lunchtime\/after school, days and times to be confirmed by your coach\/manager.<\/p>\n

Uniform:<\/strong>
\nA suitable swimming costume is required. A cap will be provided at the pool.<\/p>\n
